Parogon Swimming & Water Polo Club is a club caters for a wide range of ages and abilities. From leisure swimming through to competitive water polo at national level, we welcome all.
About The Club
The Parogon Amateur Swimming Club was formed in 1938. The unusual spelling of “Parogon” originates in the club’s close association with Newcastle-Under-Lyme School. The name is derived from:
PARents of Orme Girls and Old Newcastilians.
Although the club is still independently run on a voluntary basis, the strong relationship with the school remains. All our activity is based at the school pool.
We offer general swimming, coached swimming, and junior water polo. We also have members who swim in open water during the summer months and a number of tri-athletes who use the pool for water based training.
As a member of the club you get access to all of the sessions offered for your extremely reasonable annual fee.
Our location, park on Victoria Road and the pool is above the grassed area, please see the contact page for further details.
